Veneers can correct issues such as stains, chips, gaps, and slight misalignments, giving you a more uniform, bright smile.
Unlike crowns, veneers usually require only a small amount of tooth enamel to be removed.
These are the most popular type because they offer a natural look, are highly durable, and are resistant to stains.
These are less expensive but don’t last as long as porcelain and may not offer the same natural appearance.
During your initial consultation, the dentist will discuss the desired result and assess whether veneers are the right option. You will have photographs taken and an intraoral scan which will assist in digital smile design of your new restorations. This scan can help our lab customise your restoration based on your individual preference and you can also see a visualisation of what your new smile could like with a trial smile appointment.
Once your smile has been designed, we can begin preparation of your teeth. A small amount of enamel is removed from the tooth surface to ensure the veneer fits properly.
Say goodbye to gunky dental impressions! Our state of the art 3D scanner is used to scan the teeth. The images are sent directly to the laboratory where a 3D model is printed and the veneers can be digitally designed with high precision. Temporary veneers are placed on the teeth to protect it while the permanent veneers are being made.
Once the veneers are ready, they are bonded to your teeth, and any necessary adjustments are made.
A: Veneers are thin porcelain coverings bonded to your teeth, they are stronger than composite veneers which are made of resin and bonded to the teeth at the chairside. Both types of veneers require protection from tooth grinding, and it is advisable to wear a night guard to protect your restorations long term if you know you grind your teeth. If they are not protected they can chip or fracture.
Porcelain veneers do not stain. Composite veneers are liable to collect stain over time and require regular polishing to maintain their lustre and brightness. Both types of restoration require regular professional hygienist visits to ensure gum health is kept optimal around your veneers.
Veneers require good oral hygiene to ensure they last. With proper care, they can last for 10-15 years or more. Avoiding habits like teeth grinding or biting hard objects can help extend their lifespan.
Following your consultation, you will be provided with a written estimate of costs for treatment. This is based on the materials or products to be used, and complexity of the procedure. You will always be given clear transparent costs and there will never be any hidden costs or surprise bills!
