By introducing children to regular dental check-ups in a friendly, relaxed environment, we help them develop confidence in their oral care. Our goal is to make every visit educational, fun, and engaging, so they learn to take care of their smiles with enthusiasm.
A healthy start today means a happy smile for life — let’s build it together!
We want your child’s first dental visit to be a fun and exciting adventure! Our friendly team will introduce them to the practice, show them around, and even let them have a go in the dentist’s chair — all at their own pace.
Not all children feel comfortable right away, and that’s okay! If your child is feeling shy or hesitant, there’s no pressure—we’ll use the time to provide home care advice and share tooth-friendly diet tips with you. Over time, with regular visits, they’ll feel more confident and relaxed.
We recommend that children visit the dentist every six months until the age of 18 to keep their smiles in top shape. Our Geans Clinic Family Plan makes this even easier—with free check-ups for children under 16 when their parent is a member!
Let’s set the foundation for strong, healthy smiles that last a lifetime—book your child’s first visit today!
We recommend bringing your child to see us as soon as their first tooth appears, usually around six months old. By the time they turn one year old, most of their front teeth will have come through, making it the perfect time for our dentists to check their oral development.
This early, preventative approach ensures that we can monitor their teeth and gums, provide guidance on oral hygiene, and most importantly, create a fun, friendly, and positive experience to help them feel at ease.
According to Public Health England, 1 in 8 three-year-olds already have visible dental decay. The good news? Tooth decay is almost always preventable with the right dental care and hygiene habits from an early age. That’s why we believe in starting early, offering gentle care, and coaching parents and children on the best ways to keep little teeth strong and healthy.

We recommend that children visit the dentist every six months until the age of 18 to keep their smiles in top shape. We can monitor a range of things, from dental development, monitor tooth alignment and growth, catch dental disease early, provide early preventive treatments, and of course help set good dental habits that will set your child up for a lifetime of healthy teeth!
Following your consultation, you will be provided with a written estimate of costs for treatment. This is based on the materials or products to be used, and complexity of the procedure. You will always be given clear transparent costs and there will never be any hidden costs or surprise bills!
